One of the most powerful applications available for
Linux is the Gimp; a graphics editor that has been likened to PhotoShop.
Gimp stands for the "GNU Image Manipulation Program".
Michael J. Hammel, who has been playing a key part in documenting the
Gimp (and even contributed some code to it) wrote this book, which is
intended to function as both a reference and an introduction to Gimp. |
Initial Impression
SSC (publishers of the Linux Journal) did a nice job on the book; it is
printed on glossy stock and the (many) screen captures are sharp and
clear.
