Learn about the evolutionary relationships among the green plants. Fairly technical with extensive bibliographies and definitive discussions, but still should be interesting to anyone interested in plant evolution. The site is still under construction, but what is completed is well done.

Meet some lichens (organisms that are half algae and half fungus).   View lichens based on their characteristics.  If you are more advanced try this link instead (no picture guides).  Graphics intensive, so can take time to download.

A nicely constructed overview of the plant kingdom with a generous collection of images. Recommended to any beginning student of plant classification.

Provisional Global Plant Checklist of International Organization for Plant Information
A world-wide checklist of plant names currently containing 160,000 names. Eventually will contain 300,000 species and 1,000,000 names. This list is an important tool for plant taxonomists and conservationists. All names are in Latin.
