IGN chat is not monitored. Live chats may be attended by a host or administrator but this person is there as a guide to appropriate conduct, not to moderate or monitor the conversations. If someone is bothering you please use the ignore feature, as profanity and personal attacks are never allowed. If you do use inappropriate language one of our moderators will kick you from the channel.

How do I connect to IGN Chat?

Select the channel you want to join from the right menu bar. Enter the nickname you want to use in the chat, and then hit the connect button.

How do I change the channel I'm chatting in?

Select the new channel you want to join from the right menu bar. Enter the nickname you want to use in the chat, and then hit the connect button.

How do I register my nickname?

After connecting to the channel with the nickname you wish to use, type "/msg NickServ register [password] [email]", where password and email are the password and e-mail address that you choose. Do not include the brackets.

How do I identify myself to the chat server?

Once a nickname is registered with the chat server, it is unique, and you must identify yourself with the chat server to be able to use it. To do this, type "/msg NickServ identify [password]" where password is the password you registered the name with. Do not include the brackets.
