Welcome to the Disability and Medical Resource Directory an internet gateway web site founded and developed in 1997 by the disabled for the purpose of providing information on products and resources available to the disabled, handicapped, physically challenged, elderly, caregivers and health care professionals and providers.

We are committed to maintaining a web site that will assist and support the disabled and elderly communities by featuring 1000's of company products & services in an easy-to-use format for their "One-stop" shopping convenience.

We have also designed this web site to feature various "Web Corners". The Pen Pals Web Corner is where the disabled, elderly and their families can support and exchange concerns, hobbies, etc. while at the same time meeting new friends. The Speak Out Web Corner was created for anyone to voice their opinion in an open forum. The Physicians Web Corner is the place to find the latest information from medical articles to the newest prescription drugs.

Our Easy-Access Directory Design

If you have asked the question, why this site is not implementing Java scripts, Active X, frames and animations, it is very simple. It was our decision to design our directory for visitors that are searching for information, products and assistance and not entertainment. Some of our visitors have physical limitations, and may be newcomers to the web using screen readers, special or different browsers and platforms, slow modems, and various other aids for surfing the internet. Java, Active X, frames and animations may not interact well with the above mentioned items.
