JavaOSTM for BusinessTM Software Development Kit
Version 2.1 - Readme

This README gives general information about the contents of the JavaOSTM for BusinessTM Software Development Kit.

The Software Development Kit provides the class files, documentation, samples, and tools needed to develop JDI-compliant device drivers, downloadable system components, and applications that use services that are unique to JavaOS for Business.

Contents

This Software Development Kit includes:

  • Kits
  • Packages
  • iiimp directory
  • HotJava browser

Kits

Unzip the kits.zip file to obtain the following:
  • install.sh -- Solaris installation shell script
  • install.bat -- NT installation batch script
  • jos4b_kits_solaris/ Solaris -- Solaris SDK
  • jos4b_kits_nt/ NT -- NT SDK

Packages

The following packages are available:

  • SUNWjosa -- JavaOS for Business Application Supplement
  • SUNWjosc -- JavaOS for Business Client
  • SUNWjoss -- JavaOS for Business Server
  • SUNWpxe -- JavaOS for Business PXE

iiimp Directory

Two input method directories are available:

  • solaris-i86pc-pkgs/
  • solaris-sun4-pkgs/

These directories contain Solaris and NT versions of the Sun Intranet Internet Input Method Server (SUNWiiim) package.

HotJava Browser

The HotJava Browser 1.1.4 is now y2k certified. It is located in:
hjb114-solaris2-sparc-gl-nossl.sfx
