Greetings, I'm also known as parts-leah-cim.

That is, I'm a proud evil twin of the cutest michaelstrap

I am a senior co-op student in Electrical Engineering at University of Waterloo, Canada. Currently, I am a contractor specializing in Web Applications. Most of my free time is spent on another internet project of mine, Virtual Russia (read on for details). And of course, the rest of my free time is spent here. Oh and I also do the chores at home ;-)

From a very early age, I was fascinated with robotics. Now, my technical interests have expanded to include artificial intelligence, virtual communities and sociology.

My life on the internet started in January 1997, when I created my personal homepage. Soon, I discovered IRC (Internet Relay Chat) thanks to a cute little program called Comic Chat, which is now Microsoft Chat. Of course, I got addicted and became attached to my new home on #Russia at irc.msn.com -- if you're ever there, say hi from me!

Thank God, I got over that. Eventually, I found a web site called Little Russia. It had the first public discussion board which became very popular for russian-american discussions, not to mention heavy-duty USA-bashing. Unfortunately, the place died down. Very long and sad story (as with everything of russian nature). Perhaps some day I'll write a book about it. Meanwhile, in Sept 98, I created Virtual Russia -- I would be delighted if you could catch me there, or on the other forum I frequent: Builder Buzz

As for the categories I edit, they all represent my interests and thus my areas of expertise. My major involvement with Performing Arts is through dance, as I've been through enough dance forms in my life to tell the difference -- from ukrainian folk dance to jazz to ballet. Feel free to contact me if you are curious in any way.

If you would like to learn more about me, you can visit my (more recent) profile at Virtual Russia Duma.

Finally, allow me to leave you with a quote from Nicholas Roerich:

"In Beauty We Are United. Through Beauty We Pray. With Beauty We Conquer".
