a new charity campaign benefiting the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Through the campaign, people everywhere can have fun and make
a difference this Valentine's Day by bidding on some of the world's
most famous lips and sending autographed celebrity smackers through
online e-Valentine's greeting cards.
Created to raise AIDS prevention awareness and generate contributions
for the Elton John AIDS Foundation, "With This Kiss"
will be featured on Yahoo!® (www.yahoo.com) beginning today
and running through Feb. 14, 2000 (Valentine's Day). Through
the campaign, Yahoo! users can:
· Bid on original, autographed lip prints from celebrity
supporters through Yahoo! Auctions (http://auctions.yahoo.com),
the fastest-growing, globally-branded Internet auction service
and the online trading marketplace of the 21st century, and;
· Send an electronic card through Yahoo! Greetings
(http://greetings.yahoo.com),
Yahoo!'s free online greeting card service. Cards will feature
re-prints of signed celebrity lip prints, along with a special
AIDS awareness message.
All monies raised from the Yahoo! charity auction will be
dedicated to funding educational programs targeted at AIDS prevention,
and/or elimination of prejudice and discrimination against HIV
affected individuals, as well as programs that provide services
to people living with HIV/AIDS. New celebrity signed lips and
online greetings will be added daily until Valentine's Day.
