Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Corresponding with me...
Q. I wrote to you, why didn't I receive an answer?
A. If you have an AOL address, someone in your family
may have blocked email.
If you have a WebTV address, it blocks TMC email.
Is your return email address valid? Many times I've attempted
to reply to someone, only to have it bounce back to me with an
"unknown recipient" message.
Otherwise, I apologize. Please write again. Your original
note may have been lost.
Contributing to this page...
Q. How can I get you to link to my page?
A. You can e-mail
me or send me the information using the feedback
form. I am most interested in articles that are related to
one of my topic areas. I rarely link
to home pages, preferring to provide something with content in
it for the people visiting. I also appreciate having you link to me if you happen to like what you
see here and want to share it with your audience.
Q. Can I write a feature or an article for your newsletter?
A. As you may have noticed from my bio, I am a writer.
I love to write, especially about this topic. Consequently, I
handle all my own material. However, if you have something to
contribute, feel free to let me know where it is on the web and
I will take a look to see if it fits with the material here and
link to it.
Starting your own business...
Q. How can I sort the good from the bad all the promotional
materials for money making ideas?
A. This is a tough problem because there certainly are
plenty of shysters out there. My rule of thumb is to ignore all
e-mail that is not addressed directly to me and to participate
in discussion lists which can be a
marvelous source of supportive information from others in the
same boat. There are also a number of watchdog internet resources
that can be checked. I list those in my internet
links page.
Q. I have this great idea. Where can I get funding to
help me get it off the ground?
A. Much depends on how much help you need. My best suggestion
is to write a good business plan and
visit a number of the venture capital
firms with your plan. They will usually give you very good
feedback on modifications you may need to make your idea viable
and fundable.
Chatting...
Q. I have a topic I would really like to discuss with
others. What is a good way to do this?
A. Let me know about the topic and if it seems like something
a number of people would find of interest, we can set up a general
chat session about it, inviting interested people to participate.
Q. We have a group that needs a place to meet for a chat.
Can we use your room?
A. Most definitely. Let me know when you want to schedule
the room and whether you want it to be an open or closed chat,
and I will set you up.
Q. I went in the chat room, but not much was happening.
When are you there?
A. Chatting is not my favorite medium, but I do drop in
at least once a day. If you want to chat, let me know when is
good for you and we can arrange to meet.
Navigating the Site
Q. How do I get back from a site I visited?
A. Because we no longer use frames, you'll have to
utilize your back arrow or "Back" button on your browser
to return to the site. On some browsers a right click over this
arrow or button will give you a list of recently visited sites
you may choose from.
Q. How do I find out what's happening in Entrepreneurs?
A. Simply go to our Events
Page to see what's in store. In addition the Calendar
category will also assist you with a more extensive list
of entrepreneurial events worldwide.
