INFORSE
The International Network for Sustainable Energy is a network of more than 150 NGOs world-wide, many of which are umbrella organizations. All of these organizations work to promote sustainable energy and social development.

International Renewable Energy

IREC
The Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) works to accelerate the sustainable utilization of renewable energy sources and technologies in and through state and local government activities.

ME3's Sustainable Minnesota
Minnesotans for An Energy-Efficient Economy (ME3) is a coalition working to improve the quality of life, the environment and the economy of Minnesota by promoting energy efficiency and the sound use of renewable energy.

National Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy
In late 1995, the U.S. Department of Energy initiated a new program to survey each of the 50 states for available information on financial and regulatory incentives that are designed to promote the application of renewable energy technologies.

NESEA
North East Sustainable Energy Association is a non-profit membership organization. It was founded in 1974 to foster the use of renewable and sustainable energy, the responsible use of non-renewable forms of energy, and to convey the value of these practices for the preservation of the environment.

New Sunshine Program
The Agency of Industrial Science and Technology in Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Japan) started the Sunshine Project in 1974 to develop new energy technology.

Renewable Energy for Development
This is the electronic version of the printed newsletter of the Energy Programme at the Stockholm Environment Institute, which is mainly concerned with energy utilisation and technologies in the Third World. The articles are very informative.

Renewables in India
TERI is an autonomous, non-profit research institute established in 1974. Conducting both scientific and policy research, its activities are in the fields of energy, environment, biotechnology, forestry and whole range of sustainable development issues.
