I bought a Kodac Digital camera (one that sits ontop of your screen aka the QuickCam) for my NT laptop - but since the camera is USB, I can't use it with NT. Kodak doesn't seem to support Macs at all, and I was wondering if there was a way to hook it up to my G4?

From my experience with the Kodak DC290, Kodak is very supportive of the Mac platform, with some absolutely brilliant software. Ensure that the digital camera that you purchased is Mac compatible, and if so, there should be some Mac software that came with your camera.

With the USB support on the G4, it should be a breeze. The Mounter software that came with the DC290 automatically mounts the camera on the desktop as if it were an external hard drive.

No, its not a digital camera, its a digital video camera - like the QuickCam.

Any luck with the Kodak video cam? What model?

I am looking for info on the best video cam for Mac (capture and conferencing). There have been problems reported with both Quickcam and Kensington products that I have seen.

It is a DVC2xx. It doesn't work with Macs, and I can't seem to find any sort of workaround.
