• Zicq
  zicq, maintained by Omar Harriot, is a clone based on micq, but embellished with ncurses. The aim of the program is to create a console based ICQ clone with a clean display, useful onscreen information, and at-a-glance status. It is also designed to be able to be run via telnet, using a telnet client with true vt100 emulation (which the Window 95 telnet.exe does not). The interface is organized into three parts: the main "window", the contact list, and the user input. The user input area also shows the user's current status. zicq is in it's early development stages and doesn't support the chat feature among others, although it does support the send URL function, as well as sound or beep alarms.
