Diskfree is designed to run from cron daily. It will descend your directory tree and calculate sums for all of the root directories' space usage. It will then compare those sums with the previous runs output and email you any differences. This allows you to see which directories are growing and which are shrinking before it becomes an issue.

Changes: This project has moved to SourceForge and switched to the GPL licence. Logic has been added to properly handle non-GNU versions of 'du' for AIX and SCO and others, so diskfree should now work on just about any POSIX platform.
