When sneaky Cruella DeVil finds out Pongo and Perdita are expecting puppies, visions of spotted fur coats dance in her head. Cruella and her henchmen snatch the pair's puppies and add them to the passel of wee spotty dogs already locked in her mansion, bringing her total puppy haul to 101 Dalmatians. Pongo and Perdita put doggie loyalty to the test as they bark their way to Cruella's lair and rescue all 101 pups. The dramatic, puppy-filled chase may leave you seeing spots by the end of this Disney classic.

Coming late November

Relive that "Bella Notte" feeling with Lady and the Tramp, the two dogs who made a shared plate of spaghetti look romantic. Lady the Cocker Spaniel embarks on a little adventure after Aunt Sarah brings her wily Siamese cats to stay. She meets Tramp, a vagabond, street-smart mutt. As Lady and Tramp wander the streets, the dogcatchers swoop down on Lady and haul her to the pound. The pound scenes provide some of the movie's best music, as when Peg the Pekinese (played by Peggy Lee) sings the classic "He's a Tramp." Disney created a real tail-wagger with this one.

When J.M. Barrie penned a children's adventure about a boy who never grows up, he created a story as timeless as his puckish title character. Disney's Peter Pan is a colorful, vividly realized vision of Barrie's classic tale. Take a thrilling, fantastical trip to Never-Never Land with Peter, Wendy, Tink and the boys -- just be sure to watch out for the diabolical, obsessive Captain Hook.

Simba and Nala return to the screen in Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Based on the tales of Rudyard Kipling, The Jungle Book is a great story, but it's the music that makes this movie swing. With its jazzed-up score -- Louis Prima wails as King of the Apes -- The Jungle Book is Disney's most musically adventurous animated feature.

The Little Mermaid launched a new era of animated magic for Disney. Ariel, the curious mermaid, is enchanted with everything human. When she disobeys her father and swims to the ocean's surface, she saves a prince from drowning and falls in love. With her heart set on the prince and becoming human, she makes a deal with the sketchy sea witch Ursula, trading in her fins and ethereal voice for a pair of legs. In between great songs like "Under the Sea" and "Kiss the Girl," Ariel must win the prince's love to regain her voice and keep her humanity.
