| What is remote loading? |
|
Remote loading is linking to or accessing your GeoCities account files from a location other than your GeoCities site and is a violation of the GeoCities Terms of Service.
Yahoo! GeoCities provides members with 15 MB of space for their personal web site. All files within your directory (viewable from within the File Manager) should be incorporated into your site.
Examples of remote loading:
- uploading a file to your directory that is not incorporated into your site, and making the URL to that file publicly available
- uploading MP3s or other media files to your directory that can be downloaded or listened to outside the Yahoo! GeoCities domain
Incorporating images into your site that another person references for a site outside of the Yahoo! GeoCities domain is not a violation of the remote loading policy.
