Every month, author Jonathan Knudsen writes a Bite-Size Java column about an
important part of the Java platform. Each column provides a fast, hands-on
introduction to a current topic in the Java world.
Jonathan is an author for O'Reilly & Associates, a job that allows him to
exercise the right and left sides of his brain. In 1977, when Jonathan was
knee-high to a grasshopper, he began his computer career by progamming in
BASIC on a TRS-80. He learned an awful lot from a Commodore 64 a couple of
years later. In 1993 he graduated cum laude from Princeton with a degree in
mechanical engineering. Jonathan works at home with his wife, children,
and cats.
Jonathan's interests include bicycling, inline skating, piano playing, and
opera. He is the author of
Java
Cryptography and
Java 2D Graphics.
His current projects include the third edition of Exploring Java and a
book about LEGO
MINDSTORMS.
