Java Plug-in Software Support for Linux!

Japanese

At the Java Businness Conference in early December 1999, Sun announced plans to ship a Linux version of the JavaTM 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE).

As part of these plans, J2SE v 1.3 on Linux will support Java Plug-in software in addition to the Java HotSpotTM Client technology. This is very exciting news as Linux continues to generate wide-ranging interest in the developer community.

J2SE v 1.3 and the associated Java Runtime Environment with Java Plug-in software are planned for fall of 2000 availability.
