Welcome to Linux 3D! The goal of Linux 3D is to serve as a central location for information pertaining to the modeling and rendering of 3D graphics using the Linux OS. This site was designed to be viewed under Netscape Navigator 4.5, and we are Lynx friendly as well.
Jul 10, 1999: New software added! Check out Equinox. It aims to be a complete 3D package (with a plug-in system!) for Linux, although it is currently at v0.31. Equinox uses Mesa and Lesstif. Has a spiffy looking screenshot on the page as well.
Jul 08, 1999: Linux3D was mentioned in a good article titled "Animation & Movie Making With Linux" over at www.linuxpower.org. Cool.
Mar
09, 1999:
New! The GIRAM (Giram Is
Really A Modeler) Modeler. It uses GTK+ 1.1 or 1.2, and
currently only outputs POVRAY although other formats are in the
works. [Download]
