iMac Channel Banner Contest

Fifteen minutes of fame could be yours for designing new banners
for The iMac Channel. Entries are coming in -- and the contest ends
on February 29.
Why?
Frankly, my current banners aren't cutting it. I think the right
banner would bring more traffic to this site, but don't have the time
to develop them.
These are the current banners:
468x60
400x40
They just don't have enough impact, I guess.
The Challenge
I need at least two new banners, one at 400x40 and the other at
468x60 -- each size used by a different banner exchange. The smaller
one must be under 7K in size; the larger one can be up to 10K.
Don't feel constrained to match the fonts and colors I'm currently
using on The iMac Channel. Those things I can change to match the
winning design.
Entries may be GIFs or JPEGs. GIFs may be animated and/or use
transparency. All entries become the property of Low End Mac.
I will accept submissions (mail to dknight@mail.iserv.net
with "iMac Contest" in the subject line) through February 29, 2000.
In addition to the banners, please be sure to include your name,
mailing address (in case you win), and the names of any fonts you
used (so I can try to match them on the site).
I will post the entries on a separate page where site visitors can
vote. After one week, I will use each of the four top picks for one
week to see which generates the highest click-through ratio.
Designers of the top four banners will each receive a copy of The
Ultimate iMac Book by Don Parks Sydow. The designer of the most
clicked banner will also receive a Contour UniRiser.
