Low End Mac is pleased to welcome Brian Rumsey on board with Low End Mac Gaming. It's an area we've generally overlooked here, mostly from lack of time to play games, let alone write about them. That said, I've been gaming on the Mac since the days of Dark Castle and Shufflepuck Cafe on the Mac Plus. My favorite genre is fantasy role palying games such as Wizardry, Bard's Tale, and Realmz, although good playable simulations like SimCity 2000 and the original Railroad Tycoon take a close second. Brian shares my love for Realmz and also lists Civilzation II as a favorite game. If I had the time, I'm sure I'd appreciate it as well. But more than just enjoying a good game, Brian has a
sense for what makes a good playable game on both new Macs
with fast CPUs and 3D graphics as well as older Macs with a
