Overview

The 6500 replaced the 6400 and used the same tower configuration. It is available in 250 MHz and 275 MHz configurations.

• CPU performance: 2.3 (250 MHz, relative to 7500/80)
• RAM: 32 MB, expandable to 128 MB using two 60ns EDO DIMMs
• VRAM: 2 MB SGRAM, supports millions of colors up to 832x624, thousands up to 1152x870
• video: ATI 3D Rage II chip set
• L2 cache: 256 KB on 250 MHz, 512 KB on 275 MHz
• hard drive: 4GB IDE
• CD-ROM: 12x
• Built-in Zip drive
• ADB ports: 1
• DIN-8 GeoPorts: 2 (one may be covered)
• DB-25 SCSI connector on back of computer
• video input slot (accepts TV/FM card)
• video out port
• PCI-based comm slot
• two 7" PCI slots
