hlg-1.2.tgz (C) * update 2003/09/05 *
More from mark.
This app takes web logs as input, default format is common + " " + duration, although
it accepts apache log format strings to change this, and then generates
some interesting stats.
It outputs details about average and peak concurreny-- that is requests that, based
on their start time and duration, must have overlapped.
It also reports average and peak size
and duration of requests over time. It automatically breaks out region stats,
where a region is the first item in the url after the hostname.
You can group regions, exclude or include them, and specify start date/time and
time span to analyze. Command -h output:
hlg { -f "input file" | -c stdin } [-o "outputfile"]
[ -x csv output ]
[ { -g all regions aggregate only
| -G dont print GLOBAL region } ]
[ -e "none|errors|redirects|all" (non-200 codes excluded, default all)
[ { -r "list1" comma separated regions to include
| -R "list2" comma separated regions to exclude } ]
[ -s "date" start date in standard apache common log format
eg. 06/Jul/2002:14:31:23 ]
[ -m "n" span of minutes included, default all ]
[ -d "0|1|2" debug level, default is 0 ]
[ -l "format string" Apache log format to use
[ -v print version and exit ]
PagePoker-1.3.tar.gz (perl)
PagePoker is a user agent for monitoring and testing websites,
with failure handling that can send email and trigger snmp traps.
It comes with three scripts that implement it for different uses:
poke.pl, for single agents; pokes.pl, for many parallel agents, and
pokehard.pl, for loadtesting and benchmarking.
Now supports basic authentication. And SSL.
Read the README for details.
Read the README_pokehard for loadte
sting details.

morse2led-1.0.tar.gz (C)
From mark, morse2led
uses two programs to turn text into morse code output on keyboard
leds. The led controller program is very flexible and can be used
for many other joys, like a Knight Rider-style keyboard. The text2morse
program can be used as a general purpose morse code translator. Inspired by Neil
Stephenson's Cryptonomicon.
