Registration of your URL is free of charge. Please submit only one page from your Web site. Our crawler, Gulliver, can find your other pages by following links from this one page.

We cannot delete URLs at the request of the user. Our crawler is scheduled to make periodic passes through our index of websites, and will automatically update or delete any old or obsolete links at that time.

We ask for your e-mail address so that we can resolve any problems finding your page. If you have any questions about this service, please feel free to write us:

Email: crawler@NorthernLight.com

• We call our crawler "Gulliver", mainly because it does a lot of traveling. You will know if Gulliver has visited your site by checking your Web server logs. If you see either of the following host names and addresses, Gulliver has been there:

  Name Address
  marvin.northernlight.com 208.219.77.29
  scooby.northernlight.com 208.219.77.19
  taz.northernlight.com 208.219.77.9

• Following accepted industry standards, Gulliver will fetch only one page per minute or less, keeping the impact on your site to a minimum.

• Gulliver obeys the Robot Exclusion Protocol (i.e. /robots.txt) and other crawler protocols as outlined below:

  Go: "www.searchenginewatch.com"

  Go: "The Web Robots Pages"
