    Unreal Tournament Tweak Guide
"Offered for Very Real Crap Computers"

We know and feel your pain. It's hard to play multiplayer on-line games when your computer has a smaller circuit board than your microwave oven. Fortunately for you however, the gamers over at Gamesurge  have posted a way to tweak one of the most popular current titles around, Unreal: Tournament.  The series of commands supposedly makes it easier and faster for the megahertz-challenged to duke it out with their betters, and have a good chance of surviving.  Check out the commands here, and ask for a good computer for Christmas (actually, you might need to throw a few extra holidays in there), if only for your frag rate's sake.

    Quake 3 News
Informant Has the Word On Quake III:
Mysterious "Cancer Man" in the Know

Our fave news site, Voodoo Extreme  posted an interesting link recently concerning a mysterious informant, who reportedly has reliable information on the upcoming Quake III Arena. All that is known about the informant is that he (or she?) works for the government, smokes constantly, and has to answer to a board of old men in the deep recesses of the Pentagon.  The information is reportedly reliable, but you can take a look and judge for yourself

    Shiny Announces the Multiplayer Sacrifice
    "Shiny Happy People Holding Hands:"

Shiny recently announced the upcoming release of it's latest project, entitled Sacrifice.  The game is the company's first venture into the multiplayer realm, and looks to be the same warped and twisted stuff that we're all kind of used to from them. An official web page  is up concerning the game, but not much info is readily available just yet.  Right now there's just a developer-run message board and team bios.  Still, you may want to check Sacrifice.net for news from time to time, lest the title catch you sleeping.

    Newest AirQuake Mod Available
    "I Believe I Can Frag"

You can check out the newest version of the Quake II mod AirQuake here. AirQuake gives your player the ability to take down various flying vehicles with surface-to-air and air-to-air missles, as well as supposedly flying around in a cockpit, yourself. The mod also features a few new toys, faster and meaner bots, and all new camera angles to enjoy. What will they think of next? Can SubmarineQuake be far behind?

    Even More Half-Life News
    Overwhelmed Gamers Struggle for Air

Seems that Half-Life is on every news page that I've read, so why not ours too? An interesting Half-Life:Chronicles expansion pack from Radioactive Software is due out this holiday season, full of single-player missions for your alien-blasting pleasure. The expansion pack is currently running through beta testing, and should be on retail shelves just before Christmas (fancy that). More information about this new expansion is available on this page. Between Half-Life: Op For, Team Fortress 2, the much later Half-Life 2, and nowHalf-Life:Chronicles, there is no escape from Gordon Freeman this holiday season!.

    "Why Everquest sucks."???!!!
Amazingly enough we don't have a death wish and we don't enjoy hate mail (Well, I do-Ed) , the incredibly talented and EQ addicted Mr. Brandon LaRue has penned a very insightful look at the Online Gaming Phenomenon. Check out his article and I'll guarantee you'll agree with him on some points and disagree on others - either way, just remember - IT's an OPINION - dammit!

Middle Earth Online Still "A Go"
Keeping with the scheme of Online Multiplayer RPGs - Sierra, and the lovely Genevieve Ostergard confirmed to Ultimate Games that although the team behind Middle Earth Online has been reassembled and the overall design of the game has headed back to the drawing board the game is still going ahead. As a result, and also because we just LURVE those MMOGs - we'll be doing a feature over the next week or two on what we hope MEO will bring to online only RPGs - so check back soon.
