Downloading ATM
Before you download and install ATM Light, make sure that ATM is not already installed:

- In Windows 3.1, look for an installed version of ATM by looking in the Control Panel for Adobe Type Manager. If ATM is not installed, or if your version of ATM is earlier than 3.02, download ATM Light 3.02 for Windows 3.1.
- In Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT, look for Adobe Type Manager in the Adobe and Main submenus of the Start menu. You can also use Windows Explorer to search for the Atmcntrl.exe or the Atmfm.exe file. If you find the Atmfm.exe file, ATM 4.0 is installed and you do not need to install it again. If you find an Atmcntrl.exe file, an earlier version of ATM is installed, and should download and install ATM Light.
- In Mac OS, choose Control Panels from the Apple menu and look for the ~ATM control panel. If you find it, select it and choose File > Get Info to determine its version. If you have version 3.82 or earlier, download and install ATM 4.5 Light and the ATM 4.51 Light updater.

The file names for ATM Light are as follows:
- ATM Light and Windows 3.1 Utilities: atmwin31.exe
- ATM Light and Windows 95/98 Utilities: atm_9598.exe
- ATM Light and Windows NT Utilities: atm_nt4.exe
- ATM Light and Mac OS Utilities: atm_utilities.sit.hqx
