Product Platform Last Edited Filename | Univers Typefaces Missing from Font Menu Issue After you install Adobe Univers typeface package 37 (Univers) or 38 (Univers-Condensed), typeface styles expected in a Windows application's Font menu are missing. Details After you install Univers package number 38, Univers 67 CondensedBold and Univers 67 CondensedBoldOblique do not appear in Font menus. Solution Apply the appropriate type style to a related font (e.g., apply the Bold style to the Univers 45 font to use Univers 65 Bold). Note: When moving files from the Macintosh to Windows computers, use style linking to ensure consistent and accurate cross-platform font mapping. Additional Information Windows can display a maximum of four styles per font. The Univers typeface packages include more than four font styles, so some of the styles do not appear in Font menus. These styles must be accessed by applying the appropriate type style to a related font. The following chart lists the Univers fonts by PostScript font name (i.e., the name that displays in the ATM Control Panel), Macintosh font menu name when Adobe Type Reunion is not installed, and Windows font menu name. Styles that do not display in Windows Font menus are listed in all caps.
