Amazon.com gift certificates can be ordered in any amount between $5.00 and $5,000.00. They can be delivered via either e-mail or physical mail anywhere in the world, and there are no shipping charges for sending them. You may have them personalized and sent directly to the recipient, or you may have them sent to yourself, for you to present in person.

We can accept only credit cards and check cards as payment for orders of gift certificates.

Buying a gift certificate is easy:

• Follow the directions to order the type of gift certificate you prefer: e-mail, e-card, or paper.

Companies are welcome to purchase bulk amounts of Amazon.com gift certificates for incentives or promotions. Everything you need to know about the program can be found on our corporate gift certificates page, but here are the basics:

Amazon.com gift certificates can be mailed as paper certificates or sent via e-mail. Paper gift certificates usually take about one week to receive. E-mails containing gift certificate codes are sent within hours to the purchaser's e-mail address. Please note that, with the exception of the unique claim code that each contains, these e-mails look very similar to each other. We suggest that you write down each claim code and the name of the person you forward it to.

All orders less than $5,000 must be placed on our Web site and paid for by credit card. Orders over $5,000 may be paid for by check or P.O., pending credit approval.

There is a 5 percent discount on purchases over $50,000 and a 10 percent discount on purchases over $100,000. Please note, the discounts apply only on single bulk orders; we cannot give discounts on multiple orders totaling over $50,000.

We also cannot give refunds on gift certificates, so please be confident of the quantity you need before ordering.

At this time, we do not authorize the use of Amazon.com's logo in conjunction with the distribution of our gift certificates.
