A Personal Note: Doug Sahm -- Dead at 58
by John H. Farr     11/19/99 10:39 PM

No, this isn't Apple News, except in the sense that it affects your editor: Texas rocker Doug Sahm of the Texas Tornadoes was found dead yesterday in his room at the Kachina Inn in Taos, New Mexico. No foul play was indicated, and today's Santa Fe New Mexican had no word on just why Doug was there.

by John H. Farr     11/19/99 3:9 PM

Actually, we only know what we read on the iBook Zone, so this will be brief so as not to steal their thunder. And if this both informs our readers and sends some of you in the iBook Zone's direction, then we'll have accomplished our goal without alienating anyone.

Just what we need to start the day off in the proper mood, an email message from Mac Show host Shawn King! Absurd Notion

Justify My Love
When did it happen that Macintosh mail order catalogs became sexier than Victoria's Secret? A freakish thought? Perhaps. Geekish? Certainly. As a consumer, it is my right and my wish to possess a G4.
