You’ve probably heard a lot of negative comments about chiropractors as well as some positive ones and also some outlandish claims. Look at any Yellow Page advertisement under Chiropractors or Chiropractic Physicians and you’ll see what I mean – garish ads making dubious claims. Maybe you’ve been to a chiropractor and objected to things that he or she said or did. Maybe you’ve also heard other patients make some pretty amazing claims about how their conditions were helped, while others seem to be no better off.
Why is there this good/bad dichotomy in the chiropractic profession? Where did it come from? What can chiropractic realistically do for you? Do you need to see a chiropractor? Is it scientifically based? Why do medical doctors put down chiropractors so much? In these few pages I hope to answer these and more questions about the chiropractic profession, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
