Gigabit Ethernet

The Gigabit Ethernet port adapter (PA-GE) is a single port Gigabit Ethernet interface for Cisco 7200 series routers. The PA-GE on the Cisco 7200 provides cost effective and convenient Gigabit Ethernet connectivity to LAN backbones and high speed LAN switches. The PA-GE is a single-wide port adapter and supports hot-swappable Gigabit Interface Converters (GBIC). The PA-GE is available for 1000BASE-SX (short wave length laser) and 1000BASE-LX (long wave length laser) networks.
