Welcome to WWW page of the Journal of Finance, the Journal of The American Finance Association. You can choose a page about the American Finance Association, a page about the Journal of Finance, a page of contents of future issues and a list of tips from the editor. Articles in forthcoming issues are available as well as materials related to past and future issues including prior winners of Smith Breeden prizes. These materials include datasets, unpublished appendices and tables as well as updates of past articles provided by the authors. A list of other finance sites is also available. Announcements of interest to financial economists can be posted on the site, but neither the AFA nor the Journal of Finance are responsible for their accuracy. Official announcements of the AFA can be accessed from the page of the AFA. The current Editor will be responsible for all the editorial decisions on the papers submitted until the end of his term on February 28, 2000. The next Editor, Richard Green, from Carnegie-Mellon University, will be responsible for all papers submitted after that date.
