Online in an Instant with the Export Gateway

ProcedureWRITE's Export Gateway instantly creates fully functional hypertext "web libraries" of your policies, procedures and work instructions and other documents. You can view these documents online with any web browser such as: Netscape Navigator® or Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Absolutely no programming required! Automatic web sites feature:

Navigational Buttons

Navigational buttons make it fast and easy to find just the information you want in your web document. They serve as a menu to the contents of your document. Just click on a button at the top of your document and you go right to the information you want. The specific button labels are automatically programmed to reflect the document sections you select when you activate the export. Any user-defined section names you created will appear in place of defaults shown here.

Hypertext links

ProcedureWRITE inserts hypertext links for you within your document so you can move directly to individual steps as well as access related procedures and work instructions. In addition, you can enter hypertext links to other HTML web documents and move directly to them with the click of a buttom.

For example, if you entered http://comprose.com in the text of one of your ProcedureWRITE fields, the export program would automatically create a hypertext link to the Comprose home page. You can link to any HTML document or webpage, even those that are not related to ProcedureWRITE.

Multimedia Links

You can insert any type of media objects supported by your browser including graphics, video, sound, flowcharts even forms. If you have multimedia equipped PC, click on the icons below for a sample.

Click to hear sound clip.

You can also link video clips.

E-mail Boxes for Feedback

You can easily include an automatic E-mail box with your navigation buttons, so that readers can automatically send you questions, comments, etc from a web document. Different documents can each have different E-mail contacts. All you do is input the correct E-mail address when you prepare the export. The program does the rest. As long as readers have a modem and access to an E-mail system, they can instantly send you messages whenever they want. This is a great feature for collecting reviewer comments. Go to the Sample site and try it out on any document!

HTML Index Pages

To make it even easier for viewers to find specific information, ProcedureWRITE's Export Gateway automatically creates AND updates multilayered library indexes.

The Main Index or site Home Page has links to separate indexes of ProcedureWRITE and Policy documents listed both by name and by number.

By clicking on the blue Index bar on any document you can return to the appropriate Library Index page to select another document or return to the Main Index. You can quickly toggle back and forth just be clicking on the blue "List by" bar. You may also define as many custom subindexes as you want to help your viewers find EXACTLY what they want.

You can even include other HTML documents in your Index pages. For example, if you had a series of informational web pages on other topics that you wanted readers to be able to reference, you could simply load those HTML files into the directory with your ProcedureWRITE documents, then, use ProcedureWRITE's Export Gateway to create an HTML index those documents as well.
