Scratchpad creates a "permanent clipboard", which will not lose its data after a reboot.
Its minimized window is always floating on top so it's easily accessible for quick copy-and-paste jobs. Scratchpad is great for creating task lists for projects, or even daily task lists. It can also be useful for storing temporary information that you may need after a reboot, or for code snippets, etc.
If you find that Scratchpad is too limiting, try Scratchpad Pro, which includes the ability to
create tabs to easily divide your stored information, a hidden feature so Scratchpad is not visible on your
desktop until you need it, and more.
