I want to access some data from table and then create a graph using that data and show on my web page.

How can it be best done thru Servelets ?
Any help appreciated.

You can use PHP to do this, or if you want to make a bar chart you can even use single color images that you let javascript resize according to a certain variable.

PHP has a library called GD-library that has all kind of image drawing and manipulation functions. This is probablz a good way to solve your problem

Or if you have no access to PHP or ASP - and need to rely on clientside stuff - go to http://www.dansteinman.com the DynamicDuo have a ready to use downloadable set of javascripts that take advantage of CSS positioning and clipping properties plus all you could ever want to know about HTML/DHTML go have a look - using their api you could have static or dynamic animated graphs up and running pretty fast.
