can i save date in "mm-dd" format in the database field?,

Is it possible to take differnece between current date("mm-dd") and that datafield date?..


Please give an answer !!!

You might want to store the date field as DATE or TIMESTAMP type and use MySQL's to_days and date_format functions for date arithmetic and formatting, respectively. Check MySQL's online manual for more info...
