hi folks ! I am trying to figure out how to set a certain value for a variable as per which link has been clicked, i.e. I am seting up a couple of links to the same page (which is to be generated dynamically according to the value of the said variable), so i have to allocate values to the variable through the click of a link (I think I´m repeating myself).... any ideas ? regards from h-town |

Hi ashoka, I think you are looking for something like echo "<a href=/old?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.devshed.com%2FTalk%2FForums%2FForum5%2FHTML%2F%5C&y=1999"yourscript.php3?variable=1\">click here</a>\n"; You can retrive the variable value in your script page like.. if($variable=="1"){ I am not sure wether you are looking for above solution or not..
