Contributors Notes

Thank you for expressing your interest in contributing to First Empire.

We will consider any subject related to the Napoleonic & Revolutionary Wars for publication. When submitting your article can you supply a typed or printed manuscript with your name printed clearly on each page. Also please include any illustrations separate to the main text - but please indicate clearly where you would like them positioned relative to your text. Maps should be supplied in two formats, one complete with lettering and one un-labelled and unlettered. Please remember to include scale and North indicators

If it is at all possible - and it does greatly reduce errors - could you supply the text as a disc file in either - any Windows Word Processor format, Wordstar 5 (DOS) or ASCII text. We can handle other formats but these are easier to handle and edit. We can process IBM/MS DOS format 3.5" discs (720k and 1.44Mb) and 5.25" discs (360k only).

We can also accept articles via email on submissions@firstempire.ltd.uk

We can also read MAC format discs but the file must have been saved in one of the above file formats.

If you do not have easy access to a computer then please don't be put off just make sure it is typed with a good ribbon!

Finally, for First Empire in order to exist to the standard it does, we cannot undertake to make payment for contributions - it is for glory that you should write!
