Welcome to Jack Stowage's Useful Sites. I'm Jack. Every weekday, I'll present a new web site that lives up to these standards: Useful The site can't be merely informational or entertaining. While those are good qualities of certain sites, I'm trying to list sites that help you do something, either in the offline world (such as long-distance service or maps) or in the online world (such as email or bookmarks). Well Designed A useful but hard-to-use site is not really useful, so sites mentioned here must be well designed. Useful Did I mention it had to be useful? Well that's it. I hope you find this site useful.

So this might be obvious to you, but I haven't updated the site in a few weeks. Why?
Well, the main problem is that I'm running low on useful sites. A secondary problem is that it is taking up more time than I had anticipated, and I have less time for it than I thought I did. (I've been very busy with the preparations for the big balloon race.)
So I'll be changing the site a little bit. I'll be announcing the new format soon, so please check back in a few days.
Until then, please feel free to browse around the archives or to send me some site suggestions.
