Linux Answers is a Linux
magazine for the UK launching on the 27th. It has a bad case of Java and
the like but works fine with them disabled.
The updated UK Links page is now up. This adds a
fair few new items.
On October 27th NetProject have a
workshop at the Commonwealth Institute with presentations including:
- How Reliance Mutual achieved desktop computing at UKP350/seat.
- Maintaing compatibility with existing applications and user skills.
- Star Office/KDE/Gnome.
The UK Linux Expo photos are now up. The show
was a definite success and attracted a lot of business folks interested in
finding out what Linux was all about.
The next up and coming show near to the UK I know about is in Cork in
November. February next year there will be a show in Paris for anyone who
wants an excuse to test the channel tunnel.
