BT ADSL security blunder

ZDNET UK
4/30/2000

This short article talks about more security problems with *DSL connections. "Telco giant BT was informed about the security problem with its ADSL Internet sign up service on Wednesday and but failed to remedy the situation until 24 hours later, says a surfer who noticed the problem early on. A ZDNet reader says that after informing BT about this glaring hole in security Wednesday, he was told by a representative of BT's technical team that it was "a server issue for which we are not responsible."
