Yahoo, EBay Halt Mailing List Auction on Sites

An executive at Yahoo Auctions said the company removed the auction listing because it violated its terms of service by offering to sell personal data, the Journal said. An EBay spokesperson said the company does not allow the sale of bulk e-mail lists through its service and is sensitive to the privacy concerns of its users, the newspaper said.
