Microsoft MacTopia is for you, the Mac Community, built and maintained by people at Microsoft who are rabid fans of the Mac, the Macintosh Business Unit.

Here at the Macintosh Business Unit at Microsoft we love Macs, and now we have a site we can call our own. Through MacTopia, we are seeking to create a vibrant, informative, and compelling place for global Macintosh users to get information on News, Links, Resources, and "all things Mac at Microsoft."

When we first thought up the concept for a Mac-only site, we wanted to include all the ideas we held about what makes us unique in the larger Microsoft world. We wanted to build a site whose very design encapsulates our Apple creed, "To think different." We wanted to invite fellow Macintosh community members to shape what appears on the site. We wanted to put into action all our hopes for serving the Macintosh community. We wanted to support the Apple innovations we love. And we wanted to show off the Microsoft Mac products we work so hard to create.

We're dreamers, and proud of it. But in serving the larger Macintosh community, we're practical and committed. Our goal is to provide the people who visit our site access to the best the Web offers for Macintosh. As fellow members of this community we also offer our expertise and advice for getting the most from Macintosh products. And we want to do our part to inform people about the daily- changing Macintosh environment.

To reach our goals, we've created a spot that offers the best of the Web for Macintosh - a easy reference list of the best 250 Mac sites out there. We've created a one-stop point for finding out about all the Mac products made by Microsoft. We've asked some of our resident gurus to offer their insightsinto the products they designed. We've scoured the Web to offer freshly condensed Apple and Macintosh news. We've included our best Macintosh tips and tricks, a Mac-specific glossary, and much, much more.
