This page tells you how to get Office 2000 with MultiLanguage Pack, which enables companies to create a single custom installation that works for every language included with the Pack (see below for more information).
Basic Information About the MultiLanguage Pack
The MultiLanguage Pack is not available as a stand-alone product, but instead is included in the following new English-language versions of Office 2000:
- Office 2000 Standard with MultiLanguage Pack
- Office 2000 Professional with MultiLanguage Pack
- Office 2000 Premium with MultiLanguage Pack
- Office 2000 Developer with MultiLanguage Pack
The Pack consists of eight CDs, which include the following components:
- Global Interface: Allows administrators or users to change the language of the user interface and Help files without affecting Office operations.
- Office 2000 Proofing Tools: Allows users to proof documents in more than 30 languages.
- Plus wizards, templates, add-ons, and more.
How to Get the Pack
Office 2000 with MultiLanguage Pack is available though Open License, Select, and Enterprise Agreement volume licensing programs only and will not be offered though retail channels. (The portion of the Pack that's designed for end users and companies that choose localized versions of Office 2000 will be available through retail. See the Office 2000 Proofing Tools Q&A page for details.)
Open License customers can now obtain a full set of Office 2000 with MultiLanguage Pack CDs. To order, contact your regular Microsoft representative or reseller.
Select and Enterprise Agreement customers have been receiving MultiLanguage Pack CDs as they have been released since the availability of English-language Office 2000 in June 1999, as indicated in the table below.
