Shelby, North Carolina

Job Summary:

Curtiss-Wright Flight Systems, located near Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Liaison Engineer who will be responsible for the technical support to the CWFS production facilities. In this capacity the Liaison Engineer will be the primary focal point for coordination of information between Manufacturing Engineering and Quality production issues.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
  • Providing input to Manufacturing Engineers and design staff concerning productibility issues for both production and new designs.
  • Processing Drawing Change Requests (DCN) associated with hardware in production.
  • Interpreting drawings, specifications, etc and perform tolerance studies when necessary.

Qualifications:

Individual must have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structures Engineering, or equivalent, and an understanding of configuration management concepts and operation of a Material Review Board. Selected candidate will also have a working knowledge of PC based spreadsheet and word processing, plus 2 years experience in an Engineering field.

Compensation/Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
