Lead Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic - DFW

Responsibilities:

• Receives work assignments and priorities from Maintenance Supervisor.
• Performs aircraft maintenance as required.
• Prepares his/her crew for carrying out delegated tasks.
• Ensures that his/her maintenance vehicle is adequately equipped and supplied for the work to be accomplished.
• Oversees the work of personnel assigned to him/her to assure compliance with applicable maintenance procedures and company manuals and FAR.
• Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Keeps the Maintenance Supervisor aware of work progress and/or anything which could adversely affect schedules.
• Conducts or causes to be conducted periodic inventories of tools and equipment and accounts for discrepancies.
• Verifies that all tooling and equipment assigned to him is in company policy and FAR.
• Is accountable to the Supervisor, Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Control.

Qualifications:

• Four (4) years proven airline maintenance experience on heavy transport aircraft (prefer 727 and/or DC-8)
• RII Inspector, preferred.
• Possess a valid FAA A&P License. (Attach photo copy)
• Possess a valid state drivers license. (Attach photo copy)
• Valid Passport is preferred. (Attach photo copy)
• Frequent travel may be required.
• Possess a full set of aircraft hand tools.
• Previous experience/demonstrated ability in leading work group.
• Manual labor - lift up to 70 pounds.
