Job Location:

Job Description:

Responsible for determining the specific disposition of all rotable components removed from aircraft, including the issuance of repair orders to outside vendors as well as providing work orders for in-house repaired components.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Determine the proper disposition of all rotable components removed from aircraft, including all components repaired in-house as well as by outside vendors. Coordinate with Warranty Administration to identify components, which have valid existing warranties. Coordinate with Quality Assurance to ensure only approved vendors are used for component repairs. Compile data regarding repair history of individual components, including cost and turnaround performance as required. Coordinate with Quality Assurance Department to help identify and monitor component removal trends that may indicate specific aircraft or vendor problems. Expedite components for repair, including those components within the Company's in-house shop facilities. Advise the Manager of Warranty and Repair of any vendor performance problems in regards to rotable support including any performance problems associated with the Company's in-house repair facilities. Work in conjunction with Senior Rotable Administrator and the Manager of Warranty and Repair, to negotiate the most favorable repair and overhaul agreements with outside vendors. Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure all invoice discrepancies, relating to rotable repairs, are reviewed and cleared in a reasonable length of time. Evaluate current inventory levels and rationalize appropriate action of repairs, overhauls, and modifications, based upon current demand and financial impact. Ability to recognize requirements are ever changing and capable of constantly reevaluating disposition of components versus demand to prioritize accordingly. Attention to detail is critical.

Job Requirements:

Education:

BA/BS or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years experience with a commuter airline or equivalent field experience relating to spare parts. Must have good communication skills to effectively interact with outside vendors.

Compensation/Benefits:

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
