Job Summary:

• Establish a technical organization for the development of new products and the acquisition of new technologies to keep Center at the forefront of its market area.
• Support Center marketing efforts in technical meetings and proposals to customers. Aggressively pursue paid development opportunities, which supplement R&D.
• Establish and maintain a document control center that assures Center configuration control and maintains latest revision documentation in the production cycle.
• Communicate with customers the design of high technology products demands active participation by engineering management in gaining customer acceptance/trust.
• Interdepartmental dialogue between Engineering and Operations focuses on the aspects of cost and problem solving related to release of new designs and manufacturing.
• Augment technical staff and develop succession plan within Engineering, with emphasis on in-house training and career development. Encourage the use of engineering personnel to participate in external technical forums to utilize technology interchange for individual development and improved customer exposure.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. An advanced degree, MSEE, MSME or MBA is a plus. Evidence of continual learning programs relevant to the position requirements.

• The successful candidate will have approximately twelve years in Aircraft, Aerospace or related products experience to manage both electrical and mechanical design organizations. A minimum of five years technical management and project management experience in engineering product design and development. The individual must have demonstrated accomplishments leading an engineering design group where the experience level of the group varies from one to twenty years.
