Avionics Service Supervisor

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the day to day operation of the Avionics Service, Avionics Lab, and the Instrument Shops
  • Responsible for the administration of all personnel related issues to include (but not limited to) evaluations, counseling, training, interviewing, etc.
  • Responsible for planning, directing, the lay out and coordination of activities within the avionics department
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed on aircraft undergoing work and specialized services within the avionics shop
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all paperwork as it relates to the work accomplished in accordance with the Inspection Procedures Manual and shop procedures
  • Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education And/Or Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years aviation avionics experience required. Minimum 3 years Supervisor/Lead experience within an OEM, Completion/Service center environment.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Specific Working Hours/Shift:
  • Hours/Shift 1 st Shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Some overtime required.

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
