Duties:

Maintenance Technician:
Performs entry-level work assignments generally recognized as a technician's aid in the aviation field. Airframe/Power Plant license not required. Practical General Aviation maintenance experience is preferred.

Performs maintenance and minor repairs of airframe and power plant components under direct supervision of lead technicians.
Limited dismantling, overhaul or repair of accessories and components.
Services and repairs systems of aircraft, including but not limited to electrical, hydraulic instruments, etc.
Cooperates fully with lead technicians and/or supervisors in carrying out all assigned tasks.
Performs mechanical and maintenance service on ground support equipment, mechanical devices and test equipment as required.
Physical abilities to lift 50-60 pound objects.
Performs other duties as assigned.

A/P Mechanic I:
Performs work assignments generally recognized as a technician's duties in the aviation field with minimum supervision. Airframe/Power Plant license required. Two years of general aviation experience required. Satisfactorily completed all the requirements of the Maintenance Technician classification.

A/P Mechanic II:
Performs all work assignments unsupervised generally recognized as a technician's duties in the aviation field. Exhibits leadership characteristics. Airframe/Power Plant license required. Four years general aviation experience required.

Duties of A/P Mechanics I & II:

Makes periodic checks, including maintenance and minor repairs and overhaul of aircraft and power plant or components under the supervision of the lead technician.
Dismantling overhauls or repairs accessories and components.
Services and repairs systems of aircraft, including but not limited to electrical, hydraulic, instruments, etc.
Cooperates fully with lead technicians and/or supervisors in carrying out all assigned tasks.
Performs mechanical and maintenance service on ground support equipment, mechanical devices and test equipment as required.
Supervises any helper that may be assigned to him.
Physical abilities to lift 50-60 pound objects.
Performs other duties as assigned.
