Hamilton Sundstrand Engineer, Senior Engineer - Electroncs Packaging Design Job Location: Rockford, Illinois Duties/Responsibilities: Work with the aircraft original equipment manufacturer to define installation and environmental requirements. Design the mechanical structure of electronic controllers, power conversion, power management, and power distribution products. Analyze the design for installation compatibility and performance in the defined environment. Define and direct environmental tests. Coordinate the activities of mechanical designers, printed wiring board designers, and drafters. Experienced engineers may participate in marketing and new product research activities Experience/Education Required: A minimum of three years of relevant experience is required and aerospace experience is strongly desired. Good written and verbal communications skills are required for work in multi-disciplined teams. Knowledge of analytical tools (stress and thermal), computer aided design (CAD), and solid models is desired. BSEE or MSEE Compensation/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
