Installation and Support
Precision Computers employs a staff of engineers and
technicians who are trained in the installation, configuration, and support of computer
systems, Local and Wide Area Networks, and Network Operating Systems.
Businesses throughout the Pacific Northwest rely on Precision to provide both front and
back end support for their information systems. Whether it is as simple as installing
a PC on a LAN, or as complex as migrating Network Operating Systems, Precision
can be with you every step of the way to make sure that there are no surprises, and that
your needs are met.
Post sales support for our systems is also very important to Precision. We realize that
when a PC or server is having problems, that translates directly to lost productivity
and a potential loss of revenue. Precision strives to make all PC and server repairs
within 24 hours.
Onsite Computer Service
Precision Computers Service and Engineering staff are
available for onsite service calls within 100 miles of our offices in Portland, Oregon.
Precision Engineers are available for network planning and consultations as well as onsite
repair and installation work.
In addition to providing service when needed, Precision staff are available to visit your
organization on a recurring basis, or for preventative maintenance. We have found that
this type of "check up" has often given advance warning to a problem that left
undetected could have been disastrous.
In addition to routing cleaning and testing of systems,
Precision staff can:
- check tape backup status for servers to ensure that not
only are backups happening when they are supposed to, but that data is actually being
written to the tape correctly
- test workstation and peripheral device function
- check and correct network and workstation virus
- perform hardware repairs and upgrades
